Hi All. New user here, so bear with me. Ready for a good laugh ? I just finished an 18-month stint as an IC at England(Gawd, I can hear the laughter clear over the Internet!) As luck would have it I was "discharged" for sub-standard safety score. In the 18 months I had 2 non-reportable/non-ticketed HPVOFO's, both rookie mistakes in my first 90-days out solo. Damages less than $500, NO DAMAGE to my truck. The 3rd was a reportable non-injury accident in the middle of the snow storm that swept through I-64 Missouri the weekend before Easter this year, broken taillight on my trailer after clipping a minivan from a previous chain-reaction accident was my only damage. Insurance assessed 20% of minivan damage to my incident. My question is this: are there any job boards out there where a guy with a "bruised" DAC can get on with an O-O as a second driver. Or, even a relief driver for an O-O who say needs time off but wants the truck to keep earning ? Thanks

Oh, and the big OTR companies are sending me the "we are pursuing other applicants at this time" response when I apply. I'm a hard runner, stayed out on the road for a YEAR before my first hometime, and went 29 consecutive weeks on my recap hours alone. Trained for them, too.

    IC? Ice Cube?
HPVOFO? High Performance Vehicle On FrenchFry Oil?

We don't know them secret England codes.

You are probably looking at a 3 year vacation unless an OO gives you a break. Check CL.

Have you pulled your free DAC? It wouldn't hurt to dispute it. If the company doesn't respond to HireRights inquest the info would be removed. That happens a lot.

My question is this to you. How is it you just finished up training, yet next trucker you have 2 years? That sort of like me saying I have 20 years as a trucker because I owned an a/c electrical shop that serviced big rigs and tractors. Yes, I drove some, but no I do not have a license to do so.
As to your getting discharged aka let go, fired. Some companies are going to look at you like are you a good risk. Then back at your DAC which is already lit up like a Christmas tree in your first 3 months they are going to scratch there heads.
All you can do is wait it out now and keep applying. Just like with points against your license it takes time and to come off. You need a certain amount of time in between them or you could lose your license all together.
If I were you I would get a hold of the DAC and see what all is on your report so you can address it. First one is free. After that there is a fee.
    Good luck.

    Tugboat7 Thanks this.

IC is Independent Contractor, I.e., lease/purchase. So he's saying he just left CRE after 18 months as a lease driver.

Yea, England didn't wait for the Official Report from the Missouri trooper who eyewitnessed the accident. They said "rear-end", not so. It was a side swipe. So I have already been through HireRite and gotten that fixed, after having to threaten CRE with "filing a false officialreport" under the Federal Credit Reporting Act.

I drove for CRE for 18 months, I didn't just finish training; I wastrainer for them, These incidents were spread-out over the 18 months, not 90 days. The first 2 happened when I was a rookie, yes. One was clipping a barrier pole at a fuel island up in Prosser,WA; the other was scraping a yield sign in a traffic circle too small for 53' trucks in Modesto,CA(while I was taking their student to DMV because his temp-license expired).
Most of my 12 years of experience was pulling full-sized doubles of fuel up in Alaska for the tugboat company I worked for.(they didn't care if you had a license).
