Hey all. Just a quick question. I was attending orientation for a trucking company and spent 2 days going over things but decided the company wasn't the right fit for me. I informed them politely over the phone and will be dropping off their materials later today. Will they put on the DAC that I left? I technically wasn't hired yet.

I don't think they'll do anything like that, but even so, drivers and companies part company so often, no new employer will care. I don't think. About like changing your socks.

He right. I didn't feel at home with 2 other companies. I was just honest and told my current company why I didn't stay with them. Nothing else was said. You'll be fine.

A long time ago, (in the early 1990's), I too went to an orientation for a now defunct flatbed company, PST out of Davenport, IA. I think thier HQ was in Orem, UT however.

I left about 3 days into it myself. I got DAC'd by them saying I was a driver of "general commodities", that I was "not eligible for re-hire", I had a heck of a time getting that off my DAC.

So who really knows what a company will do.

Thread can be closed. Thanks for the answers. I spoke to them in person and they said it wouldn't go on the DAC.
