You are correct, there is not a bunch of room to put any false info in, and most of these companies(even though they threaten you to) wont and cant since , like I said they are held to penalties and fines by creating a false record, yes they can make mistakes since these people are humans that input this stuff--but out and out falsehoods? Not gonna happen. The fines and penalties are too big if they even attempt it. Like I say, a lot of the misconceptions surrounding the DAC come from the drivers who have never seen one, dont know what they even look like and have never even pulled their own, which (as I have said) they have a right to by law(once every year) and it is FREE, why would you not order it? Just like you have a right under the same laws to order your credit file for free from all 3 credit bureaus once a year for free, and I would be willing to bet a lot of people havent made use of that either. I have every year since they allowed us to by law. Why would I not?

 

I agree with you and I do the same; order credit reports and DAC. As you stated many don't even know what one looks like and that is why I copied mine onto here the way I did so that drivers can see what the dreaded DAC looks like. ​
