it took me over 2 months to get mine, plus several phone calls.. don't stop! keep on them.. it is YOUR information they are handling and by law you have the right to a free copy once every 12 months(any more then that and you have to pay, which I'll bet gets delivered a whole lot quicker)but just like your credit report if you don't look at once and a while you'll never know if the information is correct and all the BIG bottom feeders use the DAC services there... stay persistant

The quickest way is to go to their website. There is a link for the downloadable form that must be submitted. Print that off and fill it out and mail it back to them. They will have your DAC to you within 15 busines days from the time they receive your written request. I got mine in about 2.5 weeks from when I sent the form in.
And TW is right about a free copy. There are a lot of companies out there making money off drivers because they have made USIS sound like such a big thing to deal with. DAC is covered under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. As such you have the right to one free copy a year and one free copy if turned down by a company based on DAC. AND if a company turns you down for employement based on DAC they cannot just tell you that over the phone. They have to send a letter listing the fact that their decision was based on DAC just like a loan or credit card company would send if you were rejected for a loan.
And, since they are covered by FRCA, a driver does not need anyone to "fix" their DAC. No company can get things removed from the DAC (or covered up on the DAC) that the driver cannot do him/herself. DAC comments will only be removed if the reporting company has a change of heart. HOWEVER, just like with your credit report, you have the right of rebuttal. For this, the USIS website has another link for a form to complete to submit your rebuttal. They will not remove the comments from the trucking company but, right alongside those comments, USIS will list your rebuttal (so make it sound professional, be truthful, and don't blame the entire situation on the company--be willing to admit any error on your part that may have contributed). Then when future companies view the company's comments they will have your side ofm the story as well.
I did call USIS to follow up on my DAC request and they said they won't do anything by phone, the request must be in writing. That is a part of the FCRA requirements. I suggested a way that we could just put the information in online and get an immediate report like you can with the big three credit bureaus. He said they might look into that. Maybe if enough of us suggest it they will eventually implement it. Hope this helps. -
