You know how they got all of those loads out of Victoria? Because they cut the rates so low no one in their right mind will work for that.

I used to load 336's out of there on a regular basis. Daily was trying to broker them to us for way less than what my cut was before they came in and chopped all the rates down. Far as I'm concerned, that company can burn in hell.

    HighCountry Thanks this.

True, was talking with a Keen driver the other week. He said driver pay on a beam hauling a 336 was like a hair over 1k, depending where it was going
He said the last one he pulled paid him less than 750 now because of the rate cutting by them

Oxbow, johndeere4020 and snowman_w900 Thank this.

From what I've seen of keen they aren't much better. The loads they try to broker out are horrid

True, they will offer low, but they will come up. And you have to remember now that since one carrier slashed the rates, Cat thinks we all should haul for that rate..

So True and all the big carriers do this, that's why the rates suck right now

I took one load brokered through daily, and the reason was I had an easy extra day to deliver, that gave me enough time to go a little out of route and have a sit down with one of my customers.
I had only been loaded a couple of hours when he called and told me to deliver a day early and pick up another load at the same place going somewhere. I said that is a possibility if it paid enough, his responce was it will be good, not as good as what I had on, that he had raped that customer. I explained that I was the one getting raped as far as I was concerned and it would be better for me to just deliver the load as planned, and no need to call anymore either.
I bet I got several faxes a day for well over a year before they finally gave up, but no phone calls that I know of. lol This has been 10 years or so ago, I am sure things have changed.
