Given those options, I think Schneider is your best bet.

Right. My hubby works out of Mississippi. If we had limited ourselves to companies in the Sacramento area, it would have been slim pickings. That is the great thing about this job.

I went thru schneider for my training here in dallas I can honestly say that my experience was good my teachers were up on all the things you may or may not encounter out on the road, once training is complete and you pass class room you train with a driver trainer for 2 weeks then go thru 1 week more of class and driving before your driving test with dps if you pass you will get your truck within a couple of days!

just got to say you need to figure out what you want first, and then find the company that fits you. Remember, that recruiters will say what it takes to get you to come to orientation, which may not be the total honest operation policy of the company.

Stevens transport puts 60 to 70 students through the system a week, and only expects 5 of those students to make it 6 months. Many of the students are from the disadvantaged sectors of the US, so Stevens gets paid to train these students, from our tax dollars, and collects money from the students too. So keep in mind where the negative coments are coming from, and ask questions for yourself, and make your own mind up based upon the answers.

Most will pay your way to them, by Greyhound most of the time, but it'll be a free ride there.
