Dallas issues idling tickets to try and clean up air

it's not cheeper when the company is paying for the fuel....

 

Same reason the cops idle their cars and to stat cool or warm tax payers pay for the gas.
I wonder what would happen if the cars shut off after idling 5 minutes??

Its just a matter of time before they start this battle; As for pulging your truck in to Idle air
some companies have acounts for the service, some companies do not; there is very little
parking at many truck stops as it is and then to have to pay to park (that sucks)and not have idle air hook up;
For the drivers who have pets with them They can not stop you from idling your truck to
provide a comfortable climate for your pet.

Law enforcement can not issue any tickets if you have a pet with you in your truck

As for ratting out or reporting other drivers for idling thier trucks to have a little comfort while where out on the road is flat out wrong; like the quote says that we should do.

MAYBE YOU SHOULD Try waiting for a load in Az in the summer months when its 135 deg or in the dakotas in the winter months when the temp are below zero.....

 

I like the idea of shutting down all police and hiway patrol vehicles, from idleing after five minutes. Just think how much wasted taxpayer gasoline could be saved and how much that would help to clean the air.

The reality is, you will end up with two tickets; one for idling, and a second for endangering your pet if the temperatures do get too extreme.
