What do thieves do with cars like those? Maybe ship them overseas to the Middle East?

The previous generation Corvettes (like the ones that were stolen)are the last ones to have a manual transmission option, making them a hot item nowadays. Hope she gets her cars back and nails the perps.
The fact that there was a tow truck there with no identifiable tags or numbers means the thieves were “shopping”(had the cars under surveillance). -
First thing I would do is check every GM dealer in the DFW Metroplex to see if there was anyone who placed an order for a replacement key to that particular Corvette using the car’s VIN number. Usually for high-end cars like that they’ll only give you a replacement key by verifying you’re the owner (unless the thieves knew someone in a dealer that could get around that). Also usually for keys like that(which usually use a transponder chip) an R.O.(Repair Order) is generated and kept on file at the dealership.

Corvettes are no longer available with a manual transmission? WTF is GM thinking? What a bunch of dolts.

When the new Corvette (C8)came out the General 86’d the manual transmission option.
So if you’ve been saving your greenbacks for a C6,C7 or older Vette with a third pedal, clutch and shifter, you’d better jump on those cars before somebody else does!Last edited: Jun 8, 2021

Well, the ######### at GM deserve all the troubles they get.

I mean Corvettes was on a market forever and GM know better then anyone what people want from Corvette, And if it's cheaper to ditch manual them sell it to 1 out of 100 people , it's not really GM fault
Even Ferrari's and Labmos switching to automatic transmissionsPiscesLuv Thanks this.
