I feel everything 'tank' is under paid and detention time should be paid 100% to the operator but you are using their tank, and they have cleaning costs, tank inspection and repair, back office, billing, etc. but fuel surcharges, pump/compressor pay, detention and anything special to a customer's dealings SHOULD pass through 100%.
He did say they pay up-front and didn't say if they take back uncollected monies. despite the effort, time and cost to collect delay. -
I just retired (again) from Dana. As a company driver, the detention I was paid depended on the contract. some were @$25 and some were as high as $50. And I know our O/Os made a lot more than $25 and hr. And yes, it was paid on the same statement as the load.

Schneider pays there tankers drivers more than that.. They pay $50 an hour to O/op's,, and that aint detention.
They pay 50$ an hour if your just watch them unload, but you have to run the on-duty clock.scythe08 Thanks this.
