I would stay away from any lease purchase deals.

Contact 2 lawyers before you sign on with Dart before you go to orientation- 1 divorce lawyer and a good bankruptcy lawyer. You will need both.

I've noticed Dart trucks for many years and can honestly say that the next time I see a head turning tractor pulling a Dart trailer, will be the first.
That alone tells me all I need to know about the money potential at Dart. -
I'd say if you have your own truck to sign on, then go ahead, they are a happy and nice people to deal with, but don't lease one of
theirs, unsless you have good credit to get a new ones, that might have all the
shelves in. I had lease one of the International 9400's, had your basic big 'ol bus
steering wheel, no box or cabinet behind the driverseat as per normal I9400, Cummins
ISX 435/470 wich had a problem. I was only getting 4.5 mpg, they tried to have me
stay and "fix" the problem, but I had had enough by then. Their daily deduction
system that is in place in order to get paid when you want had my head in a spin,
and when I left according to them with the close out, I owe them 4k, beside what
est. i.r.s taxes will be due for the six months I was there looking at another 3k.
On the good side I would say, they truly have a non forced dispatch system in
place. You tell your FM/dispatcher where you want to run, what is ok and what is off
limit and she plugged it in the system and boom, no NEW ENGLAND or NEW Jersey
frght was even sent to the truck. You also have a wght limit you could advise as
well. As much as they harp on fuel and you see in the books, they had plenty of
paper and metal loads I was on back to back to back until I asked if I could get a
break for a load or two. They responded with what is your ideal wght? Heck I said up
to 38k, "OK it's in the computer". You can also set up a secondary spending account, beside the maint acct., to save for bills or what ever.
I wish they could have a weekly pay set up and more owner op spect trucks, I
would probably still be there. Especially having the stress of forced dispatch and
worry of going to New Enland and New Jersey off my back I could run and be happy.
Granted I live in Western PA and when I said New England I seen her check the NE
box, wich might have excluded Pa, and I didn't get to the house that much, but I was
determined to make it with them this time. Alas that didn't work, I didn't figure my business numbers and didn't take the hand they offered. I might have made a
mistake, it was the head guy over the Highway Sales, they saw that I was not
making any money, he said we will fix this and I'll show how to earn/make money. But
I need to stay on for another six months. That is when they were cutting speed
down to 62 on all new hires. That is what I fig he was going to do, I said no I'll turn it in.
I do understand speed kills, but when becoming an O/O or L/O, YOU want to make
the decisions, if you are blowing money out the stack, besides being foolish it is still
the freedom, we all long for.
I have been bitten, still wnt the freedom to not go where I don't want to go. It
looks as though L/O is the only way I can. I have been terminated and left
companies on my own for having to go to NJ and NEnglnd. Of course that is where
the main population is, that is for ya'll that don't care where you go, I didn't loose
anything there that I need to go find. My first year has been done, been there done that go where ever we tell you, I don't need to go back.
Thank you for your patience in this long post. -
HAHA you funny,i completed a lease with dart and feel i should get a trophy, there in the top 5 companies of the bigest crooks on the planet, they paint the picture as being your bussiness partner, but reality is they use people and cheat them out of $$$, they have almost perfected there art of screwing drivers but not quite, dont work for this company!!! i heard back in the day when the father run it they were good but of course the scenario where the kids take over, need i say more??

I’ve been with dart for now 3 weeks. I know with this short time span, I can’t say much. But, as of now I absolutely love it! My dad was a owner operator with 2 trucks leased on to dart back throughout the 90’s up until he had to retire from road because of his health. He loved it and made great money which is what brought me to dart.
I’m on dedicated Georgia Pacific, I live in Sw Arkansas mostly stay in southern states below I-70 and East of I-35.
I have been averaging bout what a company driver makes after all expenses sometimes a lil more maybe even less from time to time . There’s problems with every company out there we just got to figure out what’s best for ourselves and our families and suck in our pride and just deal with it, anyways done preaching but you will make money at dart if you want to run
I’ll attach copy’s of settlements and willing to answer any questionsJLT Thanks this. -
Frank Speak, dunchues and Pepper24 Thank this.

Thanks man but no it’s not about ego I’m not saying the truck isn’t making more the money I clear each week does not just go straight in my pocket I have a business account and set up a LLC I pay myself salary sorry my post was kinda misleading I pay myself as a company driver it’s worth it to me yes I’m paying twice the amount if not 3 times the amount of what this truck is actually worth but whether I pay this truck off or use what I save in business account to buy a truck from a dealer I’m working to become a owner opJLT, Jclark87 and nightgunner Thank this.
