Let me break it down, you will receive below market wages, higher than market costs, and be told that you are being successful.
That is your culture and you will be dispatched like a company driver. Is that why you are buying a truck?

Well..... That may be true..... But I have already retired from trucking last year. I have no intentions of buying or owning another truck. I'm looking to go back to work for just another year or maybe 18 months.

It seems very difficult to find any info on any company on this forum that isn't EXTREMELY negative. But I suppose that should be expected. After all, everyone on hear is a truck driver.

    RRS.

I worked for them for about six months and it's not a bad company just depends on how you want to run

Then why are you doing this to yourself? Go to work for an equipment rental company, work M-F 8-5 and not have the headaches.
I really don't get the "hobby" mentality behind this.

Oh ! I did not realize that you are still with DART. I'm sorry..... I thought you left there. Im leaving tomorrow to go to orientation Monday. (It got delayed one week)

The money is not a big deal for me. If it was I would be looking into something else (if anything at all). I could go to work anywhere part time and be fine. I have no personal expenses. I just want to drive for another year or two. And not have to deal with TOO much B.S.

If that's the case and you are retiring from trucking in a year. Why are you leasing a truck your last year and dealing with the headaches. Why not be a company driver and finish your last stint as a company driver.

The MOST headaches and the most BS I have EVER dealt with was as a company driver.

The other issue is 'Forced Dispatch ". I won't work in that environment again.

I hope you're doing well. I had good experiences with dart in the past and a love hate relationship with highway sales their evil doppelganger that leases the trucks. I am planning to return next month after giving up driving for 3 years for stupid reasons not dart related. It is a good company and its what you make of it. No company is right for everyone.
