You might be right, the specs for the 49$ one were not the same as what was advertized for the more better one. I did see a Chinese site on Ebay selling an upgraded version of one from the previous one that they sold.
I earlier just wanted to add my own 2cents opinion that the rule I found to be true with electronics is, "you get what you pay for." If you pay cheap, you get a cheap piece of trash, that sooner or later your going to regret buying and just have to throw away and get something that is a bit more decent.

I like the one I give the link for on ebay. After much research it seemed the best deal when trying not to spend a fortune but trying to have something worth using. It has forward facing and driver facing cameras (so their lawyer cant say you were texting etc). It has something like 8hrs of record time (might be more I cant remember without looking but at least 8 as that was one of my criteria) that is downloadable to a sd card or computer. It also records the time date. The video is good and clear enough for cya.
