Ok let’s talk about the 3 young males that shot into the bedroom where my wife and kids were while I were working. Should I classify all the people fitting there category? No I can’t and won’t.

There's way way way more good cops out here than bad. But the MSM seems to only seek out and report on the few bad eggs. Seems to me the less law abiding one is, the more hatred one has for the Police. What if we had no Police out here, what then? What if cities did away with qualified immunity, resulting in departments unable to find quality recruits? What kind of recruits would they get? What happens to cities that constantly demonize their Police force, refuse to back them up, and seek to dissolve it? What happens when liberal DA'S and Judges continually let criminals go with minimal or no jail time? What happens to good cops, who put their life on the line every day, when they hesitate in using deadly force when necessary?
Yes, Police need to be held to a higher standard. Yes, the bad eggs need to be dealt with accordingly. Me, I back the Blue 100% and support Law & Order, but alas, I'm a dinosaur living in a different era. An era where things used to actually make sense. That's all I'm gonna say about that...allniter, PacoTaco, drvrtech77 and 2 others Thank this. -
The police bashers on this thread..
Go to your local LE agency
Take and pass all the tests
Go to the police academy
Ride with your assigned FTO
Get all of your required training
And get out there and make a difference in your community if you can do a better job.
Most of you bashers likely have a criminal record and wouldn't qualify anyway but if not go for it..until then ####TROOPER to TRUCKER and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
Law-enforcement just like any other career field has bad apples in it… And there are legal steps to take to get these bad apples weeded out…no profession is immune to bad apples who do bad…some folks can’t comprehend that..

Statistics don’t lie .

But if you want to talk about your horrifying experience, then we should also talk about the horrifying experiences of people who were the victims of flash bangs during unjustified police raids. We should talk about the officers who used force in contrary to departmental policy and faced no comeuppance. We should talk about the number of cops who agree to quit provided their personnel file is sealed and their misconduct shrouded from public view.
Identifying a problem and working for a solution is not slandering an entire profession.faux_maestro and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -
Expecting them to protect and serve instead of harass and collect , is cop bashing ?
most departments have turned their cops from peace officers into revenue collection officers .
Most towns extend their city limits miles away to include a little section of interstate so the town with 900 residents can have five officers who do nothing except camp out with the radar on the interstate
in the town where I live they won’t lift a finger to try and solve a burglary , but they will have three officers stand at a four way stop to write seatbelt tickets .
30 years ago you could count on most cops being honest , and cops didn’t harass everyone all day long for minor traffic offenses like not using a turn signal , and didn’t use burned out tail lights as an excuse to go on a fishing trip.
It’s sure seems like revenue collection is their number one priority . And solving and Preventing actual crimes has simply been done away with .
The city of Atlanta cried poor poor poor we can’t afford to work the accidents on the interstates that run through the city limits , so the highway patrol had to take over responding to accidents on the interstates inside the city limits.
but the city of Atlanta police department didn’t stop running radar and writing speeding tickets all day long on the interstates . They claim they cart afford the manpower to respond to accidents , but oddly , they are not too poor to do revenue collection all day long.
And save your breath, I haven’t gotten any traffic tickets in Atlanta . And if I had , the first thing I would do is have the ticket transferred to state court , so the prosecutor the judge and the cop , all three didn’t work for the city that was so desperate for the revenue ,
and no, I have never been charged with or convicted of any crime . Do I have to be convicted of a crime before I can expect cops to be honest and not harass people all day for piddley traffic tickets used as fishing expeditions for even more money?
wanna talk about asset forfeiture?
Where the cops simply steal whatever cash the motorists have and never charge them with a crime ?
About the “DICE” cops in Tennessee ?
Wanna google “Tennessee policing for profit “ and watch the news stories ?
Yeah, I didn’t think so .faux_maestro Thanks this. -
