If you operate one it can be confiscated and used in court against you or as a witness for the defense or prosecution. Look up your rights before buying one. If you take pictures of an accident your telephone or camera can be confiscated. I am in a Vol FD and that was discussed at the last meeting. They don't even want us to wear our shirts with any ID as we can be held as a 1st responder who didn't do anything in an emergency. This world is getting more Communist every day.

Our state passed a law about cameras and phone cameras anywhere around an accident scene. People were taking pictures and hitting responders.
As far as a dash camera, just turn it off and remove the memory card and place in your pocket. They now need a warrant to get to it. -
