I had an older model before that would fry SD cards about every six months. I’ve had this one for a year now and it’s been trouble free.

So what the op is saying. They are so bad with driving skills they need a camera to tell them they messed up again?

I am not in the truck to tell you what brand I have, but there are dashcam that you can match to your smartphone that will notify your phone and show on the phone what the cam sees.

BTW, doesn’t the apartment complex have security cams?

Does the rear camera wifi "reach" the back of the trailer?

I've got a Blackvue 750s dual channel in my car and a 750s single channel in my truck. They're both cloud connected, I've got mobile hotspots in both the car and truck so I get alerts for parking mode impacts. You can also log in and do a live view as long as you've got an internet connection on your phone. They can be set up for motion detection or impact detection as mentioned earlier.

The motion detection setting actually let's you choose areas of the frame that won't trigger a motion event and ones that will, so you can set that depending on your situation. I don't think there's many other options for monitoring remotely, but I'm in Australia, so we have a very limited range here compared to the US.

The new 750x and 900x both come in an LTE version, so if you don't have a need for a mobile hotspot, you can get the LTE adaptor and put a sim card in it instead. They are ideal for when you're out on the road as you can jump on the app at any time and see history. With a 64gb card in my dual channel one, that goes almost a week on parking mode and about 12 hours driving time. The single channel I've got in the truck goes about the same with a 32gb card. They say to only use the blackvue ones, but I'm using Samsung high endurance or something (they're made for dash cams) they call them and have had a really good run so far.

Can't help with a sensing camera, but pretty much every single or dual camera dashcam on the market today draws so little power that you can leave it running 24/7 and it wont drain the battery even after several days.
