I have a caterpillar 3406e with a serial number 1mm00947. Can anybody please tell me what year it was manufactured the emissions tag is missing off it so I don't have that available.

1mm is a 1999 engine.
It is also the last of the big bore E blocks. Its a 15.8 litre engine with a 575-600 hp rating. It was last of the E blocks but has the 70 pin ecm.

I also have a 2ws Test engine. Serial # 2ws00008 with a 40 pin ecm. Its in my 1997 truck. -
2ws with 40 pin??
