I've got a 98 peterbilt 379 w/detroit 12.7 and wanting to install a davco 382. There's limited room and wondering if anyone else has one installed and maybe pics.
Only real place is where primary is but it's going to call for a fabricated bracket. And firewall wiring and stirring shaft also problem.
I know its has to be higher than tanks and all.

No one has a 379 peterbilt with a Detroit? And has a davco or simular aftermarket system?

Guy I'm leased to has a couple,if one is around tomorrow will get a pic.
Best I can remember they have a bracket mounted to the frame near the firewall.

I know the 380 are mounted with what looks like a 5'' exhaust clamp.

    free2fly973 Thanks this.

I really appreciate you guys input! Not yelling just happy for response lol. I would really appreciate any pics too. Just looking for any advise or input on location and not being in line of fire with lowering and raising hood.
I really love my Pete and my wonderful Detroit just would like to put to use a davco 382 have laying around. About best fuel processor around. Don't have to guess when to change element or if got bad fuel. Plus done refurbished myself awhile back.

Should put it on frame rail just under steering shaft. Put a 7 micron filter in it and that's the only filter you need . No need for a secondary on engine.
Also put the plus size filter in it , flows 180gph. The regular size one only flows 100gph

Didn't know plus size would fit in a regular davco 382. Thanks and thanks for the pic 062, really appreciate it. It's about what I'm contemplating.

Plus size only fits in the plus size bowl.
I think the 382 davco after 2008 have the plus side bowl already
