Hard to make decent money unless you run dumps.....Port loads pay crap for local haulers.....
One possibility....Local heavy haul/lowbed....Pays good...But hard to get into the loop... -
days cabs run end dumps and walking floors localy, but your going to need the trailer to make any money at all.
-
have you looked into hauling fuel
-
Fuel, propane, block and brick for construction. Pre-cast walls and sewer drains. Depends where you live to because that might change your options.

I see a company called LQK out there and I think they haul auto parts. Can't remember. I talked to one of those guys once and he told me he was an O/O and LKQ required daycabs. Not sure why. He told me he wouldn't think of doing anything else. Out and back meet and turn type runs is what he did.
I don't know if the guy was full of crap or not, but I do see those day cabs and none of them are alike, so maybe they are O/O's. -
Coca cola in some areas run daycab O/O .....
-
lots of chip truck drivers here in Canada are O/O's with day cabs.
-
That is, Super B Stretches hauling wood chips or hog fuel. NOT Pringles

How far are you from the Menards mother ship in WI? Seem to have a decent O/O deal with most running day cabs our of IL. Sure they have same deal in WI.
