This is the most retarded thing I've seen on this site.
Ummm, I'll tell you why...because maybe I don't want to be in a truck you just got out of after picking your nose and wiping your boogers. After you have messed around with half the lot lizards east of the Mississippi, or haven't had a shower in three weeks.
MANY reasons why it's not the same thing. When I start a new company and get a used truck, I always ask for a new mattress and spend a few hours disinfecting the whole thing.

Bad home time is if you work for a mega. There are plenty small companies out here offering good pay and good home time. Don't settle for the whole one day off for every seven worked that's called being a slave to the cheap company.
born&raisedintheusa and pattyj Thank this. -

May God keep you and your family safe, sound and healthy for the remainder of your natural born lives. I TRULY and GENUINELY do NOT wish bad luck on anybody.

Also, let us HOPE that most of the truck drivers are FREQUENTLY taking showers and NOT waiting three weeks to do so.
HOLY MOSES!!

Also, replace the mattress inside the truck and use your own inflatable air mattress, which you can take with you, when slip seating the truck back to another driver.
When you pull into a truck stop, you might also be able to vacuum out your truck.

I think he did, or at least alluded to them. For one, bus drivers are not living in the bus for days on end and then slip seating. Bus drivers do not have sleeper berth areas they are using when on the road, they stay in hotels when not driving and not at home. A bus goes thru regular detailing and clean out periodically at company facilities, whereas a semi truck does not get the same treatment by the company, and never did even back in the day when slip seating was the norm among some mega carriers like Schneider, JB Hunt, etc. That is a few of the many. Now, to be fair, LTL carriers with day cab type tractors do the same thing as bus drivers. But that has never been the case with sleeper equipped tractors.
Not sure there is much patience for the USA by God anymore to bless it. The country as a whole has basically told God to mind His own business, and since He is a gentleman, He is obliging our request.Last edited: May 8, 2016
