I think it's one of the last union freight haulers. I inquired once, and didn't want to hassle with the union. It just shows, years ago, you'd NEVER hear of a union trucking job opening. To hear you saying they are hiring, just floors me. I'd grab it pal, not many union jobs left.

Yeah we have 2 open bids right now. Im pretty sure we have around 25 line haul drivers and around 50 or 60 city drivers. we handle a big territory but we are building new terminals in Sturtevant and Madison closing the Milwaukee location.

    Bob Dobalina Thanks this.

A lot of people think that, but they actually aren't a union company. They do seem to be well-respected among union guys from what I've heard, though. The reason they're hiring is due to steady growth which is second only to Old Dominion, and fastest among all the regional LTLs.

It's just a very well-run company that has a positive atmosphere and a culture of respect. I get called "sir" all the time and feel like I'm talking to hotel concierge whenever I call in to linehaul or when I check in at terminals. In the city, we try to go above and beyond for our customers when others would just leave them hanging.

We have a pretty good thing going overall, with no union necessary. Anymore, our overall pay and benefit package is better than most of the union LTLs that remain, and with a far better atmosphere.
