I just applied but I don't have haz or tanker yet. Anyway I haven't even moved yet either. That will be at the end of the month.

I'm pretty sure both hazmat and tanker endorsements are required by Dayton before you can start. I've never heard of drivers getting hired and being given time to get them after the fact. Luckily you can study some online practice tests and get them both in one day.

Good point. I forgot about that TSA mess. That's probably why they don't give drivers a chance to get it after they are hired. We carry Hazmat on a regular basis so picking and choosing loads specifically for drivers without the endorsement for any significant period of time would be a huge pain for dispatchers.

Bob you still in Columbus terminal.
    What’s top rate there ?
Should be comparable to Cleveland / Akron.

Yeah they're all the same, at least for now. I wouldn't be surprised if eventually they are forced to have a higher scale to recruit and retain drivers in the Chicago area, for example, but so far they've managed to avoid that.

I think all 3 terminals are hiring in Chicago area for both P&D and Linehaul. You are right, all 3 start at top rate too.

Since you do over 3000 miles a week, I’m curious what’s your bid run. You are doing at least 600 miles a day.

How are the benefits? What does insurance cost? 401k match? How is it working the city? Are you sent home at forty hours or lots of overtime? What should I expect to make in a year working the city? Thanks!

The TSA process is quick now. I renewed mine a few weeks ago, it was cleared in a few days. They don't send out letters anymore. You have to check your status on the website. It said something like "eligibility determined" in green letters. That means it's been sent to your DMV and you're good to go.
