    Great find but ...

These are not inverters, these are what is commonly called (incorrectly by the way) a dynamo. Technically these are called rotory converter.

These units are made in China and rebranded for the market. They've been around for a while, but what really matters is anything mechinical will wear a lot faster than electronics.

    $2400... wow!

I was just looking to replace my inverter. It's been acting funny, so I checked the output... cranking out 140 volts. No wonder my Dremel runs super fast when I plug it in the truck. Probably hard on my new fridge too.

I'm probably going to go with a Xantrex Freedom HFS 2000. It's pure sine wave and has shore power and a charging circuit built in. $750-$800

Yeah that's a label, not a content description.

I know of a few companies who buy parts from China and India and then claim they are made in the US, GM is one such company. You can source parts from ten different places, have .51% of them assembled here and then claim it is made in the US.

It is amazing once you get an inside look at the branding manufactured goods industry what goes on and what is really made outside our borders. You can order a couple containers for of stuff, under different companies names legally and then "sell" them to one company who makes the product sticking a sticker on it to cash in on the Build in the USA thing.

Anywho this is an interesting product to say the least, expensive and limited in what it can be used for however, it doesn't really replace a good inverter and to boot as I mentioned is mechanical in nature. Like the dynamos used in military radios equipment, there is a limitation to their life cycle, so I would expect this to be the same thing, limited life.
