Hey i know its been a while. Turns out my #3 and #4 cylinder kits are scored. They want to do a rebuild in the realm of 28k, i told them it has only 500k and shouldnt need one. They said they will talk to their manager to see if they can just do the 2 cylinders. Any idea what it would cost to have 2 scored cylinder kits repaired? Ive never gone thru this. They are already charging me 1300 to take apart the head.
-
Ok just an update, my head is intact and fine. They are trying to charge me 14k just to do the 2 cylinders. They are saying its 9200 in parts and 5200 in labor. Here is a screenshot of what they are charging. This seems waay expensive right?

Some people say the dd15 because of the emissions is whats making these engines do that. I am thinking of doing a delete too but most my freight is in california. Dont know what to do.

oh my uncle deleted it. runs to cali lol. always. hell 2 of em did.

here is a nice explanation about DD15 low pressure most common cause, and repair of it
-
Friend of mine purchased a Cascadia with dd15 with 500k miles on it. Low oil pressure, jake brake not working, it was for overhaul. Some shops said that when you finish the overhaul you must pump manually the engine oil from one hole to another, to make sure that there are not any air gaps in the oil passages before starting the engine. If you didn't do this procedure with DD15, you may lose the engine after 50k ....
