Usually when mines being stubborn to prime ill keep it running on ether until the fuel pump turns enough to prime the system. Usually 10-15 seconds. If you spray just enough to keep it running it shouldn't damage anything.
DD15 wont fire after fuel filters changed.

My mechanic said only option left is to use spray until it goes.
Is Ether or Brake ckeaner better? Does it matter?
Am nervous about stuffing it...
Thanks for the help. -

Fill the separator and leave the cap off, then pump the primer. If the level doesn’t drop your primer is bad or you have a restriction.
If it does drop, then pump it down and refill two or three times before trying to start. -
Get you some good starting fluid instead of brake cleaner. If you have a John deere dealer close by get some of theirs.

One of the plastic caps is cracked/not sealing or O-ring on filter is missing.

I had to change a filter on the road due to algae. Our mechanic told me to apply a small amount of air through the fuel tank vent hose. I pumped primer maybe 50 times then tried it the dd15 fired right up . After I slowly opened tank cap to release pressure.

Something doesnt seem right, when I start it with starting fluid spray it starts, fires, then konks out, even if i keep spraying the starter fluid.
It should run longer than 2 secs when spraying starter fluid yeah? -
FML, so this truck wont go and to add insult to injury the truck I had hooked up to it to keep the batteries charged will now not do a burn... so thats 2 trucks heading to the shop....
