yep another truck driver not watching what is going on in front of him.

 

I am surprised this doesn't happen more often... I see so many truck drivers following a car in front of them with less than 5 to 10 feet of space between the two at 55 + mph. I just don't see it anymore how the word professional and truck driver can be used in the same sentence.

 

I know that section of road well. There is no justifiable excuse for that driver. The road is littered with skid marks, mostly duals...driver's just don't pay attention.
The area is flat, open and visability is excellent (especially in the middle of the day).
Too much speed for the conditions, too close of following distance and too big a hurry.
Recipe for disaster.

 

For some strange reason...I see the next update on this saying the driver of the Volvo truck was on his cell phone!

 

We call them super truckers for a reason.
