Thanks, indeed I asked for them, both good or bad and I appreciate all responses. It was just a little debate we had going on, but from all of the responses, it looks as if I was wrong.

    Not a problem...
You are absolutely right, never looked from that point. If something was to go bad I would feel awful for even bringing it to his attention:biggrin_2553:.

That sounds terrible:biggrin_2551:. Anything that sounds to good to be true, it usually is:yes2557:
He said, "this is one of those occasions" and I'm starting to believe him allot more now.

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

For $10 grand your freind can finded alot better truck than that, one that was not rolled over, i just sold a 2000 Kenworth w900L with a 475 cat and 10spd with 730,000 miles that i repoed for $9,500 and the motor and tranny checked out good just needed brakes and tires and in imo a c12 cat with that many miles on it is a gamble buying. The price for the trailer is not bad as lond as the unit runs and works like it should. If it has any issues with it then the price is to high as repairs on one are not cheap. In the end needing tires, paint and most likely some other small odds and end that $10 grand truck will end up costing close to $20 and you can buy a real nice truck for $20 grand.

No need to be so negative and hide from a good deal "just because". For the truck AND the trailer that sounds like a pretty nice starting point for negotiations. Granted I fully agree that if he is going to purchase it that he needs to get a super thorough inspection and estimate of repairs and potential future problems. However, there are many trucks with equivalent specs for just a couple thousand more than that one so there is still more shopping around to be done. And no matter which truck you buy, at that age range it would be prudent to always get a thorough independent inspection.
