I recently bought a truck but dealer made an error on the title application and it has to be re-done. So it is going to take some time before I can apply for Apportioned Plates.

Can I haul freight with a temporary dealer plate? I already have an MC number approved.

i would assume you're going to get a temp registration. till the plate comes in.

i was driving around with NO plate. temp registration only. and the oregon tax identifier had to be taped to the windshield. so oregon didn't stop me at every scale to see my registration.

Depends on the state BUT if the temp has sates listed [apportioned] you can haul freight. Othe states issue a 'hunter's permit' to be used for hunting a job suposedly w/ a carrier that issues a base plate. Hunter permits are not good fof transporting freight and have no space for apportioned states to be listed.

We got our temporary tag from the dealership and yes you can carry freight, in michigan the temporary tag had to be displayed in the right side of (front) windshield until you receive your baseplate. That temporary tag is good until it expires.

i wouldn't think you could haul with a dealer plate. it's probably not multi state registered. lot of money for that.

    but that's my .o2.

where's the scalemaster and dieselboss to answer those questions
