I saw this before I left home, and while I drove into the office, I started to second-guess my post. So when I got to the office, I pulled the truck's jacket to see what I used, it was VIsa, not AmEx, I used AmEx the other day for a major purchase and that was on my mind when I wrote the post.

I have a Visa Select card, which is like an AmEx so they are also good are reversing charges.

Someone told me long time ago Delta Truck Centers, (They own 4-5 Freightliner Dealers in Ca.) stopped taking credit cards from customers they don't know.

    #### in your hand and wipe it in your hair. It won’t fix your current problem but will give you a new one to worry about

    Maybe rush truck centers.

I've had to use them twice. They seem to know their stuff better then the dealer.

Why a dealership can’t swap an ecm or check the harness is beyond me. Is it getting fuel. Filter tight? Gasket good? For the heck of it I would unplug the coolant level sensor. Maybe jump the pigtail end together if possible. I’ve had my old truck and my old Jeep plugged in and told there’s no communication with ecm. Both times it wasn’t true. Mine currently doesn’t store codes. The Ecm internal battery is bad. Have to diagnose it in action. Kept shutting down when it got wet. Unplug till it fried and shutdown again. Plug in and ran, till it got wet again. Usually after a wash. Twice in heavy rain storm. Replaced the pigtail to coolant sensor, didn’t help. Replaced sensor fixed it. It’s an old 12.7. Only sensor that’s ever shut me down. It’s happened dozens of times. Once it was the pigtail. Wire was broken about 8” from sensor. I cut it back and twisted wires till it ran. It was all just guesswork. I’m no diagnostic mechanic. Both new now. It’s good. Just got lucky and caught it in action. Simple problems sometimes can be maddening. Nothing to lose checking the simple stuff. Ecm always gets the blame when they can’t figure it out. Like someone said. Check the grounds. Small wires to battery. Hot should be fused somewhere. Grounds to frame are usually the culprit. When connection is bad, usually there’s no dash warning lights. Often intermittent. That’s the little bit I know from issues on my old Truck. Something similar happened to me on a similar truck. It had codes on dash, after derating and stalling though, no stored codes. It was a module ( body module maybe?) It was located in the center of the dash. The fuse was in a box on left Drivers side inside fender well. $600 part. 1 hr labor. Good mechanic. Knew what it was because of no stored codes. You just need the right mechanic that’s seen it before. Very rare it’s a problem that’s never been seen before. Only to the inexperienced mechanics that are learning at your expense. Happens all the time. All Freightliner cares about is the big customers. Too bad.
