I also just decline any pp that says "do the best that you can". I guess that it has been drilled in my head so many times, do not accept pp if you can not make on time. I think that alot of the blame can be placed on CSR. Give us the correct times and let us decide if can make. As far as I am concerned, I am no longer a "business partner" but a company driver making the payments, so now, start to pay me the same, short haul pay, scales, layover, breakdown, etc, etc.

I just sat for almost 2 days in Roanoke TX, but I doubt I can get any layover pay.
I had to turn down a load that was clearly impossible to do - live load at 0800 and deliver 286 miles away at 1400. I said I could deliver by 1600, but it was taken off me.

Then I get one picking up at 0800 this morning, a LL also, and delivering 180 miles away at 1400. Not a problem - for me.
It seems it was a problem for the receiver (Family Dollar) though, as all the unloaders had just gone home and wouldn't be back until Sunday.

I had gotten a pplan even before that load was fully loaded.
It picked up 33 miles from Family Dollar, a nice 1000 mile run that was delivering Monday at "00:00" - so, yet to be determined.
    Accepted that one, gladly.

So when I couldn't deliver to Family Dollar I called my DM and he got my load t-called in Oklahoma City - 126 miles away.
So now I had 100 miles from there to get to my next load.

I get the last mt at the terminal, and my hours are running very short. I was down to less than 2.5 hours on my 14, and I wouldn't get to the shipper with even 1/2 hour.
And, go figure, the trailer was filthy as well as having some big puddle of some greenish fluid up near the front.
When I get the load assignment it wants me to be 100 miles away in 90 minutes!

So I got into town and headed for the Walmart instead of the shipper, and sent another Mac 22 stating that I would pick it up tomorrow morning after I had time to clean the trailer.

Oh, and I finally got the real delivery time - 05/07 0700.
Then a bit later I get another updated delivery time - 05/08 0100.

    And it's a drop!

I think some planners from several companies need to be drug tested.
