Buy fuel at pride or QT, $.20 cheaper than the big chains.
Highway_Executive and Holland Duck Thank this. -
If paying debit buy your fuel at small stops. Save way more than the cost of a shower. Works until you can get on a decent discount program at least.
Should also add:
Use trucker path as a guide to fuel prices if you are paying with debit. Take a look around Oklahoma city for example and see the difference. I have found say 2.69 on 40 west of town at flying j while east of town on 44 same day also flying j for maybe 2.29.DDlighttruck Thanks this. -
Yup. Avoid the chains. Unless you're with a fleet getting a good discount on the fuel, the chains are ripping you off in order to subsidize those discounts for the bigger fleets. Even the cash price you're wanting to get is sometimes $0.20-$0.30 per gallon more than the small fuel stop just up the road.

Cash always worked for me, I don't care about the shower got my own in truck . But last time used debit and told me it's credit transaction So no cash discount!

Alot of the smaller stops will give cash price for debit as well as credit. some charge a 2 dollar debit fee. Either way if you shop around it's still way cheaper than the big stops
