Decided to go with CRST

I've gotta do the 28 days. Even with a CDL for 10 years, since I've been out of the truck for a bit, they want me to go with a Lead Driver. I will be needing a co-driver after that though. Let me know how it works out.

 

Apparently I'm picking up a rental car, then another guy North of here, then making a 1300 mile trip to Iowa. How's that for an initial trip? LOL Too bad it's a Prius and not a big truck....

They asked me to p/u a rental, drive to Orlando to p/u a driver, then back to North of Tampa to get a 3rd driver, then on to Cedar Rapids. I said, when do you want me to leave....now? LOL. So, she was gonna just have me p/u the guy in Brooksville/Ocala Area then head that way. I'm really hoping to find someone who wants to run hard. I'm not big on being home all the time. I do like to run hard enough to sleep with the truck stopped every so often. I've found it's difficult to find someone who doesn't care to go home every 10 days. I'm fine with being out for 4 or 5 weeks and taking a better paycheck. Do you have any comments on the company? I've read horror stories about every company on here, seems most are just scorned drivers who either didn't do what was expected or expected too much. I think it is what you make of it. If you have a good partner and really keep the truck moving between the lines, everyone is better off. Thoughts?

I could only dream Im not the only Florida boy whos leaving that weekend, and they ask me to do the same thing. Im 6'3, the bus is gonna SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Where are you located? We were supposed to pick up a third guy. I'm in St. Pete, i'm picking up someone in Zepherhills....We could easily grab someone else if you are on the way.

Finally got my travel info today. I leave Friday evening, will arrive Sunday afternoon. However, destination is not Cedar Rapids, but Waterloo. Different school..we shall see.....
