Personally I would go with the Western Star. Seems a better deal, and Detroit had itself together better than the other manufacturers. my old Detroit ran great. Did one turbo, egr, and cooler.

Thanks, You think i should look into hours on the engine since it has PTO and has low mileage for a 2007

I would go with the star for sure. Good year for them and tough as nails. Absolutely check the hours. Oil haulers hour the crap out of them.

    bubbahotep Thanks this.

I wouldnt do any of the three. Wouldnt do the star car or W9 because of fuel milage and wouldnt do the T8 because it has a Cat. Yes I know I'm probably gonna get blasted for my thoughts. Botom line there are alot of trucks for sale with less miles that cost less money. Load pays the same and doesnt care if its pulled by a star car, peter car or a cab over Jimmy. spend 40k for an aero truck that will get decent fuel milage, put 10k in your maintenance reserve.

    Johny41 Thanks this.

And this point you are shopping motor not truck and you only want the Det. The ISX and the CAT will bankrupt you.
