Declined from one company? There are thousands more, just keep hacking at it! You really should have no problem. I have had many gaps in employment and the only thing you will need is proof of what you were doing during these times. Just have a family member or friend type a letter stating your business at the time and have it notarized. Like I said, I have had to do this multiple times and that's all they usually require. Its actually more of a federal thing. Not really company policy. The United Socialists States of America want to know exactly what you have been up to!
Declined for employement because of gap in recent job history.

In the United States you do not have a right to a job. A company can refuse to hire you for any reason. With the exception of age (between 40-60), race, and some others. Are you in the Kansas City area because Transport America is having a hiring fair at the Oak Grove Petro.

the 10 year history is for DRIVING JOBS that require a CDL to the best of my knowledge. 3 years if you've never had one.
or at least thats what all the job ads i've seen lately say. -

You didn't work for 3 years because you were involved in a motor vehicle accident and recovering from it - - that's more than likely the REAL reason right there...at least for that prospective employer, and their erstwhile legal department.
dollarmtn Thanks this.
