I spend 40 min a day on the elliptical machine and hit the weights for 30 min. I eat clean. Fruits vegetables turkey burgers sausage eggs brown rice sweet potatoes etc. Take a good protein powder and gnc vitamins everyday. Feel great.

...I grabbed a jump rope over the weekend. That's a #### load harder to maintain. I admire the guys who can do that for long periods of time.

Drink mostly water. You can get drink powders to add to them that have no calories if you get sick of drinking plain water. Lipton has some, I'm not sure what other brands.

That'd work okay as a temporary weight loss solution. It wouldn't work very well long-term, and you'd run the risk of electrolyte imbalance if that's all you did.

As a long term, your body would get used to the caloric decrease and would make up for the deficit by storing calories when you do eat. (Most often it would get stored as fat.)

Plenty of other places to get the necessary calories. Water is plenty good enough to restore whatever you lose from physical activity. Unless you happen to be running marathons everyday.

I ran across this article regarding George Prior, who did an experiment on himself to show the effects of drinking 10 cokes a day for 30 days. He gained 21 lbs in the 30 days:

    https://www.yahoo.com/health/its-not-news-that-soda-is-bad-for-us-but-it-is-104089767387.html

... and his blog about his experience ...

    http://www.10cokesaday.com

Why did he choose 10 cokes a day? Because that is equivalent to the amount of ADDED sugar in the AVERAGE American diet. That doesn't include natural sugars in fruits and vegetables, but refined sugars in our soda pops, pastries, and candies. That's 156 lbs of sugar per year.

Think about that last figure, that's almost half a pound of refined sugar per day. Eight ounces of sugar a day, the equivalent of a pure "sugar steak" every day.

That's about what I was consuming. I've dropped that down to about an ounce or less per day, and along the way my sense of taste changed. I no longer crave sugar. In fact I've reached the point I can't eat the things I used to eat. Hershey's chocolate bar? I tried one last week. One bite. Spit it out. Can't take it anymore. Ice cream? Tastes sickeningly sweet.

Getting rid of sugar and going to raw fruits and vegetables as the bulk of what I eat made losing 30 lbs effortless. I also found that I no longer guzzle water like I used to, which was a side effect of the sodium that is added to high sugar content processed foods. The more sodium they add then the more sugar they can add. The more sugar they can add then the more addictive the product, literally addictive the same way cocaine or heroin work with brain chemistry.

Look into 'Bodybeast' by Beechbody. It uses mainly dumbbells. It's all on dvd's so be aware of that. I use it everday, and with addition to eating right, I'm seeing amazing results.

I've no TV in my rig, and I have zero intention to get one. Just a personal choice, and it keeps me from staying in the truck. ...besides, I can watch TV and surf the net when I'm home.

As for eating more veggies and fruit... I've nabbed a bag of those easy-to-peel-oranges and eat those anytime that I get a craving for sugar. At best, natural sugar is a better replacement than the refined stuff.

I've also got a large pack of bottled water in the truck that sits next to my seat. So it's worked okay so far, but I'm staying off the scale on purpose.
