That reminds me of some people thinking they can deduct deadhead miles. Truth is you can deduct anything you please until audit time.
-
You can do it, just not legally. That would be like a salesman deducting time spent talking to a potential customer that didn't result in a sale.

Do not play games with your tax return unless you want it to come back and bite you on the ###!

So who is sales tax EXEMPT in here (home state)? My parts distributer tells me many of his customers (carriers) come in with a state re-sale certificate and don’t pay tax on parts...
I did research on this. You have to open a sales tax account, file quarterly and the RE-sale certificate is SUPPOSED to be for not paying taxes on something you will re sell later... my only justification to this is, that I’m reselling the parts we buy when I sell our service... kind of a stretch thoughDoing_flatbed_nc Thanks this. -
reselling the parts via the service provided... thanks for the chuckles
I find myself saving each and every receipt that comes through our household. Then I create ways in which they were for my business. -
Some may do this, as they have a legit maintenance company (which they own under a different company name) do the work. Then re-sell the parts to the "customer".
Similarly, some companies "lease" their trucks from one Company that they already own.npok Thanks this. -
