In order to be labeled as defamation, the information shared has to be untrue.

I have the safety lady name and title from the employer who terminated my position because of what my former employer said. That letter from them can be subpoenaed. They said I jacked knifed, I didn't. The officer on the seen wrote I failed to maintain. IT was tossed out of court. Why would any other info concerning that accident be given when it did not come from the reporting officer? There was no one there from my former job to even write a report. They caused me to lose my job.

Pretty sure the info is all on the insurance records. Just because it was tossed out means zilch to insurance companies.

I did have a accident. I admit that part, its on my dac report. But if they gave specifics of the accident and it caused me to be termed at my current employment. IT was a defamation of my Character.

How long had you been with the new company? Is it possible they hadn't finished the backround check before you started?

This sounds like a good old case of an employee attempting to hide a preventable accident and the new employer finding out about the falsification.. Oh well.. better luck next time driver.

If i called your former, (assuming i was a employer) and asked, was he fired? Why? And they said he was in a accident that we deemed preventable. I said, what was the situation? And they said, based on available information he appeared to lose controll and jack knifed, the police report was inconclusive, and the charges were dropped. Our policy is not as leaneant, so we terminated him.

    I have not defamed you.
