With TA's all you can eat menu, the restuarant can cut you off if your meal is lengthened to a "unreasonable time" ... HUH?

Who makes that determination? How much time am I given to eat? Twenty minutes? So, then what's the point of me ordering a second plate and taking advantage of your program if you can cut me off? That would negate the whole reason for having the all you can eat menu.

I think they want your money but not your time. So, am I going to be thrown out half way through my second steak, for example?

I got kicked out of an all you can eat seafood house in Florence SC once. They advertised all you can eat crawfish. In their defense I had been there about 3hrs but still...Don't make the claim if you can't back it up ain't it?

Agreed. I got some dirty stares from people with "All You Can Eat Wings" at a place in Florida one time. I think I was on my fifth plate (10 per plate so between 40-50) and they kept trying to get me to eat more bread. I was like "No way, more wings please!"

I don't think anyone should assume that they could take advantage of a situation like that... if you owned the restaurant, would you want a single guest eating $200 in food?

Not to attack, just look at it from someone else's perspective.

I can hear it now... either someone whines that "the sign sign all you can eat"... or "they had a legal disclaimer that was longer than the menu".

Common sense and courtesy must prevail.. and for the record, I've had three steaks at a TA without a problem... but I just didn't order the entire meal each time, out of respect for the cook having to make such a plate with a certain appearance or presentation.

Anyone see that Saturday night live years ago with the all you can eat place? The couple get up to leave and they won't let them. They strap them to their chairs and start force feeding them to see how much all u can eat means literally. Lol

Then there was the Monte Python skit where the fat guy ate everything there was. So they bring him an after dinner mint, and he explodes!
