Steering wheel holders can drive forward on the interstate but that’s about it, because that’s all the job related inclination they have or ever will have due to an attitude of that being all they should ever have to do.
Definition of a "steering wheel holder"??

WOW!!! Every single response to the OP's question is SPOT ON! Not sure if I can enhance anyone's description...(I must only be a steering wheel holder)
Or as a friend likes to call them, "MEAT IN THE SEAT"Last edited: Mar 10, 2019

Well, I think you people may be a bit harsh, simply, a steering wheel holder, is someone who literally just drives the truck. Does little or no repair, or thought of what to do next. I think they are competent, but just drive the truck, and out comes the phone in any other situation. It's like in the manufacturing world, there are workers who when the shift is over, will finish the part they are working on, while others, hear the buzzer, and off they go. The steering wheel holder would be the latter.

Get in the seat, turn the key and go. Don't need to check the oil, water or do a pretrip, that's someone else's job. Discourteous, never give anyone a break, never lift a hand to help anyone but themselves and even that's limited. Don't last long on the job, unless they're in a union, then you can't get rid of them. Beat they're wife, kick they're dog, eat all they're kids candy, you get the picture.

If you ever saw the video of the USA Truck dude trying to turn his truck around, he is an example of the ultimate steering wheel holder.
Warning, may be painful for some to watch.

Absolutely, all he had to do was back up 20' and he had all the room in the world to turn around. I hope his company got the video and got him off the road before he hurts someone.
