    That's no kidding. We have two already gone, one that has one foot out the door and one that's about to turn 14. At this point she get's bored because there's only so much you can clean and re-clean the house. Amazing how we didn't realize how living with teenagers is like living with talking livestock. I thought she was going to meltdown as they were leaving home but she seems to be enjoying it more and more.

    Back when our kids were small I remember telling my wife that girls were harder than boys to raise. More emotional, they fight meaner, tend to graffiti everything in the house with their names, etc. Boys worst trait is taking stuff apart, lighting small fires and the odor they develop around 7th grade. She got kinda mad at me for saying it.. We have two boys and two girls. It wasn't until our kids got older that she agreed with me...not directly of course, but I heard her telling someone else the same thing I had said one day. You never have to worry about a son melting down in a crying fit and slamming doors at you leaving you to wonder what just happened.
