Hated to see Bill pass. That is the bull hauler I tried to emulate. Last I heard several years ago, his daughter still had the truck sitting in the yard.

Poacher was typically the first to load out on shipping day. I was a newer hand so I loaded later in the afternoon. No matter how hard I ran, I could never catch up to him. Inevitably, I would see him somewhere emptied out and heading the opposite direction.

The money helps but the journey and the related experiences are what counts. Camaraderie developed with others in both good and difficult times cannot be bought.
