Definition of "running hard"?

Hated to see Bill pass. That is the bull hauler I tried to emulate. Last I heard several years ago, his daughter still had the truck sitting in the yard.

 

A legend no doubt. He taught a young dumb kid how to get outta Florida with only Ag checks. That was the only time I had the pleasure of running with him. To say he left a lasting impression on me would be an understatement. “Poacher” was one of a kind

 

Poacher was typically the first to load out on shipping day. I was a newer hand so I loaded later in the afternoon. No matter how hard I ran, I could never catch up to him. Inevitably, I would see him somewhere emptied out and heading the opposite direction.

 

In one of your earlier post way back in Where is Everyone, you respectfully referenced a bull hauler and when I was reading it, I thought you might have been talking about Bill.

 

Dads brother was Bill too lol. Another very large influence in my raising.

 

Running hard is different for different operations. My definition being local is different than someone otr.

Some things just cant be explained... The have to be lived.

The money helps but the journey and the related experiences are what counts. Camaraderie developed with others in both good and difficult times cannot be bought.
Chasing money has cost me a lot more than pursuing personal satisfaction.
