Jim Palmer is Prime and they are probably one of the more stringent in terms of criteria. Look elsewhere.
Amazing, you can run people over, get all kinds of tickets and still drive but you use the phone and get caught, that a career ending mistake? Really is a messed up world. To the OP, there are thousands of other companies out there, just go to another.
Swift said I was ok. Thinking of going there to get my start and get this cell phone thing behind me. Also may trucking and TWT said as long as it is non moving I am good to go Mike
Don't get discouraged here. And the three year wait, sounds like BS to me. Get out there and get apps and interviews with other trucking outfits. If you are even considering waiting for three years, just because some bozo recruiter or whateverthehell she is was having a bad hair day, perhaps you should totally rethink your desire to be a trucker. You are going to run into a whole lot worse negative stuff out there, than that "lady."
Big Don, Appreciate the hard truth. I understand trucking is a tough industry I have been involved in it for sometime as a dispatcher. It has it's ups and downs just like anything in life. I will go after other places. Keeping at it and charging on. Thank you again for the words. Needed it. Mike
Personally I would write ol James a thank you letter for turning you down. See if you can get it wiped clean off your record.
Hahaha I may have to write him a letter and say thank you. The recruiter said they are picky because they are all "family" and do not just let anyone drive their trucks. Maybe I'm just not cut from the Palmer cloth. Lol Mike
I've found it's best not to work with family haha And if a recruiter is saying you don't belong in a truck cuz you got a little ding on your mvr just imagine how dispatch would be.
That is a good point! I do not imagine their dispatch would be pleasant to work with. Thanks for the replies!!
