absolutely terrible! i only go to denny's after a good, fun, long night of drinking, and their food still sucks! i tried a pilot-denny's at the madera, ca location. i didn't think it was possible for anybody to botch a plate of chicken strips. somehow they managed to. the strips were lukewarm and i had a feeling all they did was throw them in the microwave. i ended up getting diarrhea because of them.

I haven't been yet but somebody told me they have a scaled down menu. Whenever someone decides to something "different" for truckers it almost always ends bad.

Native Dancer Thanks this.

There menu prices are higher than most truckstops, and service from what I have seen lately leaves a lot to be desired. And of course no buffets.

Chickens are filthy, nasty birds. Unless you cook 'em yourself, where you can make sure all the heebee jeebies are boiled off, don't eat 'em.CommDriver Thanks this. -
Back in January i was at the Denny's in the Flying J in Auroa CO, It was the worst service i ever had at a truckstop. They had just open i guess and ever district manerger and store manerger was there all hanging around and makeing the servers nervous. There was only 4 tables and 9 servers. I ordered my food at 1400 p.m. and it was still not there by 1445, i ask the server and she said they gave my food to another table, but yet the 3 other tables had no food yet either.I told her to get for me to go, and the manerger gave it to me for free. At least that was the smart thing for them to do. I told the manerger that your in a truckstop now, people do not want wait, guys and gals are on a timetable at these places, time to change things around.

Some of the regular Denny's in Oklahoma are pretty good. It's probably going to come down to each individual location. The management, staff, etc., will determine the level of quality.
