A truck ran a stop sign and plowed high speed into an intersection. The dash cam car's undeterminable lighting choices or following distance to another vehicle that wasn't involved in the crash are utterly irrelevant.

Its been a few years since I took the written test but it was on the test back then, Only when parked on the shoulder, or moving under 30 or 45 mph (I dont remember which and not looking up any more).
It is a bad idea to run flashers in the fog it confuses other drivers and adds to the potiential of having an accident.
§ 392.22 Emergency signals; stopped commercial motor vehicles.
(a)Hazard warning signal flashers. Whenever a commercial motor vehicle is stopped upon the traveled portion of a highway or the shoulder of a highway for any cause other than necessary traffic stops, the driver of the stoppedcommercial motor vehicle shall immediately activate the vehicular hazard warning signal flashers and continue the flashing until the driver places the warning devices required by paragraph (b) of this section. The flashing signals shall be used during the time the warning devices are picked up for storage before movement of the commercial motor vehicle. The flashing lights may be used at other times while a commercial motor vehicle is stopped in addition to, but not in lieu of, the warning devices required by paragraph (b) of this section.
If you want to run them , run them, if you get a ticket for it don't blame the cop. Back in the 90's I got a ticket for running my 4 ways on Kellogg Hill approaching Pomona, CA. Dont know about today, maybe it was revised, but still not in the fog. If you run them in the fog your just showing your the same guy who flashes high beams in our mirrors, shows your ignorance.ichudov Thanks this. -

Kind of has to do with weather patterns , here the tule fog is more of a threat than a slow truck, and the number of accident from people running into the back of parked trucks with the flashers going in the fog, thinking they were following someone.
