How depressed are we talking? Big difference between a Primary Care Doctor handing out happy pills to half the population, and being admitted to a Psychiatric Ward for evaluation after a Psychotic episode. I don’t think anyone should be punished or scrutinized for getting treatment. My advice ( though technically wrong ) is to not disclose it. I’ll add, don’t let it define you. Look out for yourself. Life goes on, get busy, go forward, don’t look back, focus on things outside yourself. Change your ingrained negative thinking habits on a daily basis. Realize that your heads out to get your ###. Lol. Soon it will seem as if the whole world has changed. In reality you have changed. The other option is to let it destroy you. Easy choice. Nothing to lose, everything to gain. Believe me, things change over time. Getting there can seem impossible, but worth the effort.
