No, it's manual. Just a normal eaton 10 speed. But it somehow knows to limit my revs in all gears in such a way that I can't go beyond 5mph even with speed sensor unplugged.

For owners of EPA10 trucks. What to do to avoid derate conditions. Derate conditions usually caused by Low Nox conversion and SCR related codes. You need to have spare Nox outlet sensor. As soon as you see spn 4364 fmi 18 code (sometimes you may see this code plus 2-3 more codes) count the time. If check engine code stays more than 40 minute stop the truck. Open sensor box, disconnect nox outlet sensor(located left side) and connect your spare sensor. Use zip tie to secure sensor's probe anywhere. Do not install this sensor in it's place. Spare sensor must sniff clean air so acm will read 100% nox conversion. Drive to shop and fix your truck.

That seemed way too easy to me. I think everyone and their brother would be hip to that. I was wondering if there wasn't a way the ecm said " Oh no you don't."

    So now what?

So now I'm at a freightliner dealer waiting for them to open tomorrow.

Oh, and another thing - never let them tow a streamlined truck backwards. The wind disassembled my sleeper fairings nice and good. I made the tow company reduce the tow bill by the price of the parts, but I still have to buy, paint and install them myself. So, yay for extra hassle and lessons learned, I guess... 20190518_181433.jpg

I know that its too late now, but the way ive got my truck moving in the same situation was to get second speed sensor and connecting that. Unplugging didnt work for me too.

Just wow. I had heard that happens. Mine is a 12, the fairings aren't as deep, so that didn't happen.

All my main wrench does mostly is Cascadia's. I'll have to ask him about these sensor by passes.

wow, buying, painting and installing these fairings may be more expensive than towing bill.

Well, the parts are about $600, that's what they reduced the $750 towing bill by. Painting and installing is gonna cost like 2 cans of "Werner blue" spray paint and an old pallet from behind a truck stop so I can climb up and get up there to screw the new ones back on.
