Derate to 5mph crisis - regen not clearing codes for some reason

    There are two yellow lights on EPA10 trucks. On has Check Engine mark. If check engine light goes a way (this means SPN 4364 FMI 18 is not active anymore) the other yellow light will go away after 300-400 miles(sometime sooner) .

    Hi, Mr. Mhyn...

    You seem to be knowledgeable about this so I thought I'd ask you.

    I got a proper DDDL 8 software that is up to date, but when I try to do a parked regen, it does this:

    Do you know what could be causing this and what might be a way to fix it. I am derated again even after the DEF awning installation.

    Sometimes this happens if you plug in 9 pin diagnostic port with the engine running. Reboot laptop and plug in with key on only. Start truck as last step before hitting "start regen" button.

    Is this the first time you've tried a regen since you installed the software? Could be a license/activation issue. Did you release and set the parking brake, then sink and release the clutch? Any codes?

    Yes, it's the first time. Yes, I did the parking brake and the clutch. There are just the usual emissions codes that I've been having problems with -

    4364, 18 - NOX conversion low
    3364, 2 - Improper DEF
    And the derate codes.

    No codes that would prevent a regen. Button regen works.

    Are you sure this is legal software? properly activated? if you are 100% sure that it is legal and activated try to reboot your laptop. What kind of vehicle adapter you have? Chinese clone of nexiq?

    DL is not communicating with ACM. Could be wrong settings in Options. But I think you have Chinese clone of Nexiq .

    If you are running windows 10 there are known issues with a certain windows update causing issues like this with DDDL. I don't know which update or how to fix it, but it has happened to me. You are going to have to get Detroit technical assistance to help you.
