I know it works on Volvo... Even the I-shift... Loose Speedo, jakes, and in an Auto it becomes gutless... But it does get down the road, hills are a bear though with a auto that won't apply boost!

Detroit really ticked me off when I tried to buy it from them. According to the person I spoke with, you are supposed to go to a dealer and get them to put your name or company name in the warranty database for that truck. This, even though the truck is long out of warranty. They won't sell the software to someone other than the party in the warranty database for the truck. Then they send a message to all the shops in your area to see if any of them object to you having the software. Then, and only then, they will sell the non-pro version to you for $500/year.

I waited over a month only to have them send me an email saying my application didn't match their warranty database. I had gone to the dealership and watch the gal enter it so I know that isn't true. I ended up buying the pro version for $300 from EPCatalogs with two years of license included. It costs me $30 a year after that.

Premier Chattanooga (which is actually located in Ringgold Georgia).

BTW that Clark Power Systems shop across the street from them is first rate.

Yep. At least I can still drive a mile or two without going on duty. In my other truck, it puts the driver on drive after going like 500 ft.

5 mph. That F thing is $850 too. I have the same one you do. It's gonna take some getting used to for sure.

I know, right. I'm not one of those foaming at the mouth rabid elog haters, in fact I'm frankly too lazy to do paper logs. But this new update is too much.

I mean it will throw you on drive pulling out of a dock to close your doors now I guess. I don't know. And they are changing the rules again in June. I don't think anyone even knows exactly what the rules are anymore.

Thanks for the advice about the EP catalogs. Sounds like a great way to get a good deal and still have a legal license without participating in Freightliner's dystopian police state b******* game

It's all a matter of an excessive control Power Trip. E logs could have been a nice and convenient way to reduce the paperwork and hassle of paper logs, if they trusted the drivers at least a little bit and left some flexibility in the system. Stop the maniacs who want to run a thousand miles without a pee break but don't punish the rest of us who are not insane.

Likewise SCR could have been a nice way to reduce emissions if they let you fix problems on your own time instead of shutting you down in the middle of a load and requiring a pointless regen procedure that needs special software. Get rid of all of that regulatory derate stuff and just do an emissions check when doing the yearly DOT inspection, like with regular cars. That way drivers won't ignore problems forever.

People blame the technology, they should be instead blaming the implementation and the paranoid control authoritarian thinking behind it.
