congrats on getting your MVR clear. on medical portion they will usually clear you as long as your meds want interfere with your driving abilities. they have a list trucking companys go by on issuing a medical card. if your medicine is not on that list your ok. if it is they will make you sign a paper saying you will not take meds while driving or on duty. it got to be very, very, severe for them not to give you medical card. you may not get a 2 year card you may get a 1 year card. I take a medicine that I promised trucking company I would not take during my 14hr. then my condition is on the list for red flag. I suffered from blood clots in my legs and lungs couple years ago. dot took my medical card and said I could not drive a CMV for 3 months. and before I could be issued a new medical card I had to prove to the medical examiner (dot) that my blood was under control. I had to have 3 consecutive numbers of 2.0 or better. so you will most likely get a new medical card. but I can only get a medical card for a year. if I can get cleared to drive you can too. trust me its people out there worst off than you or me driving trucks. SO HEAD UP YOU GOT THIS!!!!!

CONGRATS on getting MVR cleared. you should be ok on the meds. if the trucking company have problem with your med. they will make you sign a paper promising and advising you not to take it during your 14 only. trucking companies have a list of meds and conditions they go by. I have seen the book I take meloxicam I have worked for 3 companies each company I had to sign that paper promising not to take that med while on duty. as far as your condition. I suffered from blood clots in lungs and leg. DOT took my med card for 3 months(90 days). DOT disqualified me to drive. after the waiting period I had to prove to DOT(medical examiner) that I had 3 consecutive numbers that was 2.0 or higher. they didn't want it from me they contacted my doc and doc sent it in from their office. I have medical card but its just for a year. you would be surprised what people got out there and is driving. SO HEAD UP U GOT THIS!!!!!
