I hate Coyote, they've tried to steal a lumper payment I've paid, almost $400. Then I've drove 200 miles just to find out they gave the load to somebody else. And I don't do more than 2-3 loads with them per year, they're awful.

You shouldn't call it off because these thieves.

I would had put money on TQL being that one. I finally found a decent rep for Coyote after all this time. have only done a few loads for them over the years and have had issues with Detention on 2 of them. Was only a few hours so I never chased it down and was my fault on using the app. They make it different and since I do them so far in between loads I forget how it works.

Not a chance. They’re Amateurs. I’ve dealt with much bigger thieves than them. Lol. I just need to be home daily. I’ve ran 2033 Loads, over 1.7 million miles in 19 years. Never had a damage claim. I’ve only been burned twice, once for $900 on an $1800 load. Once for a $175 BS warehouse charge on an $450 load, after bluffing to return the Load to the Shipper, instead of waiting the weekend. I can’t complain. Last 9 years my wife ran along with me. We had a lot of good times. 24/7 for 9 years. Imagine that, Lol !!! 42 years together. Hard to believe.

Coyote is not bad. I did hundreds of loads with them in the past 7 years. Imo the best mega broker out there. If you don't get reimbursed for something that's on you as these things are clearly spelled out in your original contract with them or even noted on every load's rate con. Their detention, layover policy none of these things are murky guess work. All spelled out clearly. As with any broker if you don't like their terms you can always cross them out and make your own.

I fired TQL about 12 years ago. About a year later, someone used my MC # and booked about 6 or 7 Loads. Tried to get cash advances from each of them. TQL got burned for $1000. Their fault. I always put no cash advances allowed on contracts. Never used them. I filed a Police report. Nothing came from it. Only a record of a burner phone from Chicago. No doubt a Scammer from my old parking area. Bunch of Russians, I always had problems there, more Trucks than spaces. Always taking my spot. Someone saw my Truck sitting for a few weeks. Apparently it’s the oldest scam there is. TQL got scammed. Despite the situation, it’s still funny. They probably think I scammed them. I could care less. They should’ve known better.

Maybe I missed their Layover rate. I just read their whole new contract I signed. I’ll know tomorrow. The most excellent Broker that’s been texting me from his personal cell phone, after sending him a picture of my pod, said to contact my agent tomorrow. Lol. Typical. The jury’s still out. I’ll know tomorrow.

Best Load on the board going home is a Coyote Load. Lol. Not surprised. I’m just south of Chicago. Maybe I’ll grab it. Rather make a little more money before heading home to make up for my lost weekend Coyote adventure.

Before I left CST we had a load with Coyote that was about 50 or 60 days having not been paid. Most of them processed in about 30+/-. You can look on their site and check the status of that on every load you or anyone at the company hauls. Somebody in our office mentioned it to me so I called our rep and asked him about it and then the check was in the bank account the next day. It was another driver's load there was some minor issue with the paperwork on some detention or something that was holding it up. The rep got it cleared up and paid out ASAP.

That’s encouraging to hear. I’m still wondering how much their standard layover pay is. The guy told me but was hard to understand his English and was breaking up. All I heard was blank 40. Lol.

I can't remember it was rare I ever was due for it. $150? $200 maybe. And might be dependent on the trailer type. But $35 an hour for detention, yeah sad but true, I do remember that one.
