Was never really shown the correct way to use it and as long as I've been stuck here I'm Memphis I want to make sure I get paid for it. Can anyone give me a quick rundown on the proper way to fill it out so I don't have any problems.

Put the local time and date you arrived, got empty, and the appointment time in the proper spots. If you can't get someone at the receiver to initial those times, you can do it yourself. You can use that for your seal record too... just put the arrival seal number in the appropriate box. Sometimes you can get the gate guard to initial... sometimes you can't.
jk72180 Thanks this. -
Thank you sir

Having that stamp on there as a seal record can save your skin if os&d comes up on a load.

Be prepared to hear every excuse in the world on why they are not going to pay it, that its not in their contract, or some other reason why it shouldn't be paid for waiting around hours at a time.

Do it and follow up. I've got some $600 in detention so far this year.
Is Prime able to collect it all the time? No. But how hard is it to use the stamp? Every time?
Too me, that $600 was worth stamping.
Besides, even if it's not a detention bill to the customer and a Prime screw up, I've got paid plenty of times from my FM for the hassle... -
Wrong. That's not the way it works here.
